The position of the Hut is also marked by the glacial alpine lake on which edge the building stands. It is an enchanting and suggestive body of water on which surface the above bastion, the towers, the gullies and the sky (with its sudden atmospheric changes) symmetrically reflect. It is one of the deepest alpine lakes at this altitude. In fact, it reaches 38 mt of depth. Thanks to its location and its features, the lake awakened the interest of several SCUBA DIVING ASSOCIATIONS that are now often visiting its waters.
